Create your server
Who can create a server and when, how to create it in the panel, and how sleeping, cold storage and deletion work.

Who can create a server, and when
- Early Supporters create their servers first, in early access, before the public launch. See Early Supporter packs.
- Everyone can create servers from the public launch. Our estimate is Q1 2027; the date can still change.
Until then, a new Play Strawberry account can play on servers and use the players' site, but cannot create a server.
You can try a Strawberry server today: join test.playstrawberry.net with Minecraft: Java Edition.
Create your server
- Sign in and open the panel: panel.playstrawberry.net.
- Press Create server in the menu.
- Choose a plan. The free plan is called Player. While the Creator card says Coming soon, it cannot be chosen. Press Continue.
- Name your server: type its Server address. Use lower-case letters, numbers and dashes. Players join with this address. Press Continue.
- Choose a location. Pick the one closest to your players. Press Continue.
- Add plugins: tick SkinsRestorer if you want players to be able to change their skin. Then press Create server. Or press Skip to create the server without plugins.
Your server is set up. When it is ready, press Start and share its address with your friends. Press the address to copy it.
Sleep, cold storage and deletion
- A running server with no players goes to sleep after 15 minutes. It starts again when you start it or when a player joins.
- A server with no player activity for 48 hours may move to cold storage. Its settings stay in the panel. Starting it can then take a few minutes.
- Only players who join count as activity. Opening the panel or pressing Start does not count.
- If nobody has played on a server for 23 days, we email you a warning. If nobody plays after that, we delete the server and its worlds 30 days after the last player activity, and never sooner than 7 days after the warning.
The Creator plan
Creator is our paid plan, paid with Berry Points. Its price is shown before you buy. While its card in the panel says Coming soon, it is not on sale yet. Creator accounts see no ads in the panel.
