Link your Microsoft and Minecraft account

You open your Play Strawberry account with an email address and a password. You can link your Microsoft account and your Minecraft account later.

Why link them

• The Play Strawberry launcher needs a linked Microsoft account.
• Online-mode servers check that each player owns Minecraft. To join them with one click from our website, link your Microsoft account.
• With Microsoft linked, you can also sign in with Sign in with Microsoft.
• Your profile picture can show your Minecraft character once your Minecraft account is linked.

Without a linked Microsoft account, you can still use our websites and the panel, and join offline-mode servers.

Link your Microsoft account

1. Sign in to Play Strawberry.
2. Open your account settings in the panel: panel.playstrawberry.net/profile. On servers.playstrawberry.net, Cosmetics in the menu has a Link Microsoft account button that opens it while no Minecraft account is linked.
3. Find Connected accounts. Next to Microsoft, press Link.
4. If you signed in a while ago, confirm your password first.
5. Sign in with the Microsoft account you play Minecraft with.
6. You come back to your settings. The message says: "Your Microsoft account is linked. You can sign in with it too."

A Microsoft account can be linked to only one Play Strawberry account. If it is already linked to another one, linking stops with a message.

Link your Minecraft account

You link your Minecraft account by signing in to the Play Strawberry launcher.

1. Install the Play Strawberry launcher from the home page of playstrawberry.net. While its download button says Coming soon, the launcher is not open to everyone yet.
2. Sign in to the launcher with Sign in with my Play Strawberry account, or with Sign in with Microsoft if your Microsoft account is already linked.
3. Open Settings > Account & privacy. Under Minecraft account, press Sign in with Microsoft and use the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition. When it says "Signed in with Microsoft and linked to your account.", your Minecraft account is linked.

One Minecraft account can be linked to only one Play Strawberry account.
